The large face dominates the canvas — its features fragmented and reassembled across bold rectangular panel zones in the cubist manner. Two large, heavy-lidded eyes with bold white pupils gaze outward from within their respective panels — the left eye set in a warm terracotta and brown panel with a bold green and yellow border and a bold black zigzag triangle band beneath; the right eye in a deep purple and grey panel with bold orange zigzag crown marks above. Between the eyes, the nose is suggested by a bold dark vertical division.
